Once a deposit is found and defined we work with mining operators to develop a mine. The skill sets for operating a mine are fundamentally different from those required to find and acquire deposits. The infrastructure, legal and permitting expertise, and capital base are vastly larger for an operating mining company than for an exploration company. Mines are often beset by substantial delays both technical and legal. However, much of the value added in building a mine comes with the location and definition of the deposit itself. This value can often be realized in the form of a joint venture or acquisition before a mine is ever built. By focusing on what we do best - exploration - we can limit our overhead, deploy our limited capital more efficiently, and generate better returns for shareholders.
